fun with results

The great thing about data is that you can always slice and dice it to prove whatever point you're looking to prove.  For example, go look at the results from yesterday's Escape From Alcatraz (http://www.tricalifornia.com/alcatraz/2007/results/dvpro.cfm).  Scroll to the far right column for everyone's times up the Sand Ladder.  I felt a bit slower there than last year - more of the "rungs" were exposed leading to more difficult footing... and it was just steep and tough...  but it looks like I had the fifth-fastest time.  Yeah, there were lots of guys within six seconds behind me, but unlike the total race results I was at the front of the herd this time!

Now if I could just find a triathlon that is nothing but Sand Ladder, I'd be all set.
